The ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Wildcats will be without arguably their best discus thrower in 2019 after it was discovered Tuesday that Turner Washington transferred to ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ State. Star columnist Greg Hansen first reported Washington's switch to the Sun Devils.Â
Turner Washington, the leading discus thrower in ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ prep history and 2017 national champion, has left ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ and will throw for ASU Sun Devils with 3 years of eligibility remaining.

The sophomore ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥an and Canyon del Oro graduate is currently listed in the ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ State student directory. Washington is coming off a breakout season where he was teamed up with Pac-12 Freshman of the Year Jordan Geist.Â

Washington took fourth at the Pac-12 Championships in discus throwing and first at the Desert Heat Classic where he recorded a mark of 56.50 meters, which was the best measurement in the Pac-12 and a personal record.
Washington was also among five Wildcats to qualify for the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Oregon.
Now? The 2017 ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ Gatorade Player of the Year will take his talents to Tempe where he has three years of eligibility remaining.Â
