A bicyclist pedals through a downtown intersection at the end of an unusually hot day in ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥. The high temperature here reached 100 degrees just after 1 p.m. Friday, the weather service said.
Prior to Friday, the earliest ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ had hit 100 degrees since 1895 was on April 19, 1989. And the previous record high in ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ for any April 11 was 99 degrees, reached in 2023.
The latest start to the city’s 100-degree days was June 22, 1905.
It’ll stay hot all weekend, but Friday was expected to be the warmest.

It’ll be breezy Saturday and Sunday in the ÃÛèÖÖ±²¥ metro area, with gusts in some areas reaching up to 35 mph, the weather service said in its forecast Friday. The high Saturday is expected to be 99, and 94 on Sunday.

Monday is expected to reach 93, with temperatures for the rest of the work week staying in the low 90s, the weather service said.
The combination of hot, dry, and breezy conditions will lead to critical fire weather conditions. A red flag warning in effect Saturday and a lesser fire weather watch will be in effect Sunday.
